Being organized is something that has always been a part of my personality. I am a huge fan of baskets, bins, and labeling. Being organized and knowing where things are…well, let’s just say it makes my heart sing.
Here are some of the ways I have organized our new home. (I don’t know why I say new still…it’s a 30 year old home that we’ve lived in for almost a year now.)
Found this snazzy little steal at Home Goods (I could spend hours and a whole lot of money in there. Thank goodness I have some self control.) I use the clothes pin side for coupons, gift cards, or pictures. I use the chalkboard side to write out the weekly dinner menu.
Toy storage in Luci’s playroom…can you hear it? It’s my heart singing. Picked up this guy at Target along with the lime green canvas bins. She has books, legos, Little People, and other small toys in the bins.
*Luci’s playroom and bedroom are probably the most organized rooms in the house. Go figure!
The Organization Station in the office. Thank you sweet Baby Jesus. Everything on this wall came from Target. The dry erase calendar is my favorite. Activities, meetings, bills, reminders, etc. are all color coded (of course). The hanging file basket is also a great feature.
The craft cubby my husband built me. Canvas bins for fabric, ribbon scraps, and patterns. Shelves for books, paint, glue, glitter, paper, and other craft supplies. And the ribbon dowel. Love.
This house is definitely a work in progress when it comes to organizing. One room at a time and lots of deep breaths until it all gets finished.
