So this recipe is pretty self explanatory. I’m not even sure if you would consider it a “recipe.” But we had the yummiest and easiest dinner last night that I thought I would share. It’s a great summer meal and was suggested to me by a friend.
I am not a big fan of tomatoes. Sure I love ketchup, salsa, pasta sauce…but hold the tomatoes on my sandwiches and hamburgers please. No thank you. So my husband and daughter had BLT’s and I had a BLO…. bacon, lettuce, and onion.
This is what I used to make our sandwiches:
-sourdough sub rolls
1. cook bacon in the oven (I used my toaster oven to keep the house from getting hot)
2. while bacon is cooking, prepare your lettuce, tomato and onion
3. warm bread in the oven (or toaster oven) before topping
4. Make your sandwich!
*Goes great with tatertots and/or french fries.*
While we were eating dinner, I got to thinking that next time I would probably add avacado to our BLT/BLO sandwiches. Doesn’t that sound delish?!
