I cannot believe I haven’t blogged on L’s playroom yet. It was actually the first room in our house that we “finished.” (I have quotes around “finished” because I am always adding/changing things as we renovate). The playroom was Luci’s Christmas gift from my husband and me :)
I will do my best at remembering cost and places we purchased things. Ok…come on in and play
a while… :)
Storage for toys was very important to me when designing L’s playroom. I purchased the cubbies at Target for $35 (on sale…originally $50). The lime green canvas bins are also from Target…2 pack for $13.
More storage for toys and games in the closet. The plastic drawers were given to me. The basket on top holds blankets and quilts and pillows (that were all handmade by L’s family and friends for her baby shower). The basket was also given to me.
The lime green net was purchased at Ikea for under $5 (I believe) and I embellished with flowers and butterflies…I know I know. Always making things girly.
Dress up clothes, purses, bags, and baby blankets are stored here. You can find the before and after of the ABC hooks here.
Above the ABC hooks are these cork circles. They are actually supposed to go under your potted plants, but when I saw them I assumed this is what they were for…so I went with it. I not glued flowers and butterflies to push pins also.
The kitchen area. The kitchen was a gift for Christmas. The Pottery Barn white high chair was given to us from a parent of a former student. She also gave us the matching baby cradle, but that’s in L’s bedroom. (Don’t mind the naked doll…L has an obsession when undressing her babies).
The green leaf canopy was purchased from Ikea for around $15. The hook on the wall holds L’s aprons and baker’s hat.
The flower apron with the lace trim was my very first sewing project (last December). The pink baker’s hat was found in the dollar section at Target and the maroon apron was found at Dollar Tree.
Play food in one basket and plastic dishes in another. Does it stay this way? Nope :)
The cups were about $8-10 from Ikea. She has jewelry and sunglasses stored in one, chalk for the chalkboard stored in one, play tools in another, and finger puppets in another. You can find my post on the chalkboard and the monogram here.
L’s table and chairs for crafts, puzzles, tea parties, and the list goes on. The stools were $7 each at Ikea and the table is a $5 end table from Ikea. It’s the perfect size for her.
Does L love her playroom?? I will let you be the judge…
I will be working on 2 other projects in L’s playroom this week…make sure to come visit us again!
