We’ve been re-doing my daughter’s room for a few months now. Home renovations and improvements have slowed down a bit what with the holidays, family being in town, and getting our bakery/cafe’ ready to open.
A couple of months ago our neighbor gave us a beautiful vintage dresser that I just knew would look perfect in my daughter’s new room. But it needed some TLC first…
So I took it into the backyard, removed all of the hardware, and gave it a good sanding and a good washing.
Then I painted the dresser with 2 cans of this…
And roughed up the edges with some sandpaper and brown stain.
Then I painted the old hardware…
I also lined the inside of the drawers with contact paper.
I put it all back together and admired what 4 days of
work TLC turned this vintage dresser into.
Best part? It cost me $20 total!
Can’t beat a “new” dresser for twenty bucks.
I’m doing a pretty good job of knocking out projects I didn’t get to last year.
I still have quite a few more that I am excited to share with you!
Thanks for stopping by!
