The other day I shared the Toddler/Pre-K Chore Chart that I created.
You can download the girl and boy versions here and read about why I created them.
Today I am excited to be sharing the Reward Cards that I made to go with the Toddler/Pre-K Chore Chart!
You can use the Reward Cards however you want. Here is how we use them… If my daughter gets ALL of her circles filled with smiley faces for the week (Monday-Saturday), then on Sunday (after church) she can pick a Reward Card to use the following week. The Reward Cards are face down when she picks, so the reward is picked at random. All of the Reward Cards are things that she will enjoy, yet do not break my bank. I am sharing the Rewards Cards with you, my lovely readers. Please be sure you follow MFTM before you download them to use.
Simply download, print them off, and cut them out. I printed mine on card stock and laminated mine so that they are more durable. If you don’t have a personal laminating machine, any office supply store can laminate for you.
Notice I left 3 cards blank so you can fill in your own reward ideas. You can also laminate the blank cards BEFORE you write on them and then use a dry erase marker so that you can switch those reward ideas whenever you think of a new one.
So far, these little Reward Cards are more valuable than money and diamonds in this house. Not only does my daughter enjoy helping out, but she loves the positive encouragement she gets from her dad and me from a job well done. She is learning how to earn things by working for them, and she is learning that a family works together.
What are some ways you teach your children about responsibility?
What are some ways you reward your kiddo for a job well done?
Let me know if you try out the Chore Chart and the Reward Cards! I’d love to know how they work for you and your kiddlets!
