I hope you are having a great weekend so far, friends!
I’m stopping by today to share the Halloween tote I made for my daughter to trick-or-treat with this year. Since I bought her Halloween costume this year (*GASP*), I decided that the least I could do was fancy up her trick-or-treat tote!
My daughter is going to be Princess Aurora (aka: Sleeping Beauty) this year, so I wanted to make her tote girly and pretty.
First, I designed my subway art image using my Silhouette program and fun fonts I found on dafont.com. Then I used my Silhouette to cut out the image on freezer paper, creating a freezer paper stencil. I then ironed the stencil onto the tote (shiny side down) and applied pink craft paint (Martha Stewart’s Camellia Pink and Pink Flamingo). After the paint was dry, I pealed away the freezer paper and added embellishments (glitter paint and rhinestones). So far so good, but it needed something else…
So I added glittery pink ribbon to the handles and a giant pink fabric bow to the top of the tote. Viola!
So cute right?
I think Princess Aurora will look lovely carrying around her Girly Subway Art Halloween Tote!
Thanks for stopping by today!
