Hi there friends!
Thanks for joining Vanessa (See Vanessa Craft) and me for another Tot School Tuesday where we share fun and educational activities for tots and preschoolers!
Today I am sharing a math activity (number recognition & counting) that I themed to Valentine’s Day.
I traced 20 hearts on fun card stock and cut them out. Then I used a black sharpie and wrote numbers 1-20 on one side of the hearts and corresponding dots on the other side of the hearts. I used my “pattern” scissors (you know…those fun scissors that cut zig-zag, curvy, etc.) to cut the hearts in half…kind of making a puzzle out of the hearts. The pieces store nicely in a zip lock or zipper pencil pouch for easy storage.
You can change the activity depending on the concept you want to practice and developmental level your kiddo is at. You can even do capital and lower case letters! When I taught 3rd grade, I made these with multiplication facts for a math center. The options are endless!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to head on over to see what Vanessa has going on for Tot School Tuesday today!
Now it’s your turn to share your tot/preschool ideas!
