Happy Hump Day!
I hope y’all are having a great week so far. Today is extra special because it’s my husband’s birthday!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my best friend and favorite guy (and my DIY partner in crime)! We’re celebrating by going out to dinner…we love to celebrate with food. It’s how we roll.
I’m still plugging away at my daughter’s room makeover every chance I have. Today I thought I would share a piece of decor I made for her bedroom that was simple and inexpensive. And it can be done in one nap time session. PERFECT craft.
Here we go…
Strips of fabric (4)
All of the supplies can be purchased at any craft store. I spent $5-7 because I already had the fabric and the fishing line and the butterflies were $1 each.
Attach the butterflies to 10-14 inch pieces of fishing line.
Tie the opposite ends of the fishing line to the embroidery hoop, spacing the out appropriately.
Cut 4 strips of fabric about 2 inches wide and 12 inches long.
Knot the ends of the fabric to the embroidery hoop, spacing them out evenly as well.
Bunch the opposite ends of the fabric and tie in one knot.
Pin to the ceiling.
I love that this piece of decor looks handmade and I love the scrappy/shabby appeal it has.
This mobile is versatile ..it can be done with birds, owls, planes, fairies, boats….and the fabric can be different as well. Consider this piece of decor for a girl or boy.
Thanks for stopping by today!
I’ll be back with an awesome GIVEAWAY from one of our amazing sponsors as well as more updates and projects from my daughter’s room makeover.
Stay tuned friends!
