I hope you all had a great weekend and a joyful start to your week! I’m back home from my trip to Utah for SNAP! conference. I had an absolute blast and can’t wait to share the awesomeness with you.
Today, however, we are going to focus on our tots and preschoolers…
See Vanessa Craft and I team up every Tuesday to share kid-friendly activities, crafts, and lessons.
Did you know yesterday with Earth Day?!
Happy (belated) Earth Day!! We spent a lot of time in our garden yesterday, really soaking in the beauty mother nature provides us.
Spring time is the perfect backdrop for Earth Day, don’t you think? It’s when mother nature really shows off what she’s made of.
Yesterday, my preschooler and I talked a lot about the things that grow from our Earth, and we spent time really just being grateful for those things. Having her involved in our garden really helps her grasp that the Earth provides us with so much.
Another activity we did to celebrate Earth Day was creating an Earth Day collage using newspapers (that we were planning to recycle anyway). I gave Luci a pile of newspapers/ads and she had to go through and cut out anything that grows from the Earth. Then she was to glue it onto a piece of paper, collage style.
This activity really allowed her to practice her cutting and gluing skills. She enjoyed being able to “hunt” for those pictures.
What did you do to celebrate Earth Day?
What can we do to celebrate our Earth everyday?
