Hi there and HAPPY FRIDAY!!
We are spending the day swimming and eating yummy snacks by the pool. It’s the perfect way to spend a HOT summer day. One of my favorite summer snacks (okay let’s be honest…year round) is homemade guacamole! Wait ’til you try this 7 ingredient guacamole recipe….it’s super tasty.
Chopped white onion
I never measure anything out for this recipe…it’s all based on taste. I will give you approximates, but feel free to experiment and taste as you go!
Cut, pit, and scoop your 2 avocados in a mixing bowl.
Add a splash of lime juice, 1 teaspoon of minced garlic, and a pinch or 2 of salt.
Use a fork and mash the avocado/lime/garlic/salt mixture.
Add in the chopped tomato, onion, and cilantro. I use about 1/4 cup tomato and onion and less than an 1/8 cup of cilantro. FOLD the ingredients together.
Serve with tortilla chips!
The first time I learned how to make guacamole, I was a waitress at On the Border (a Mexican food restaurant). I remember when they added the “Guacamole Live” appetizer to the menu and I was SO nervous to make guacamole in front of guests at their tables. Let’s just say, I’m the master of guacamole making and I can make it faster than your mouth can water :)
Thanks for stopping by today! I would love for you to PIN or SHARE this recipe if it’s something you plan to make.
Have a great weekend, friends.
