See {part 1} and {part 2} of the bedroom reveal too!
Hello there, friends!
So happy to have you stop by this weekend! Can you even believe it’s already June? Where the heck did May go?! I’m very excited to finally share the last major part of my daughter’s bedroom reveal… the DIY loft bed!!
One night (a little over a year ago) I described a bed to my husband that I wanted for my daughter (she was transitioning out of her toddler bed) and a few weeks later, he built it custom to fit a twin mattress and her room. LOVE that DIY man of mine! After I primed and painted the loft bed (a lot) and found the perfect bedding and such, I am ready to show it off! It’s hard to tell in the photos, but the wall color is a soft grey and the loft bed is ivory.
Seriously…how cool is this bed?! It’s still a huge hit with Luci and whenever her friends come to play, it’s often referred to as a castle or Rapunzel’s tower : )
Here’s the top of her loft bed. Fun pillows, books, a flashlight, and a sign that’s a reminder to pray make the perfect, cozy bed.
And now let’s take a peek under Luci’s loft bed…

The Ikea wooden spice racks make the perfect book shelves…seriously. And my daughter totally loves her flower light (Ikea) as well. I wanted to create a cozy place for her to read, listen to music, or play.
Here’s a peek at the building of the loft bed that took place over a year ago…
Pardon the lighting…most of the building went on in the evening/night after my husband got home from work.
And here’s Luci’s awesome loft bed now…
So what do you think? Have you ever built or designed your own furniture?
You can check out more of Luci’s bedroom HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE.
