Hello there and Happy Love Day, my friends!
I am excited to share my last Valentine’s Day project of the year with you today. I had planned to get it up yesterday but the day got away from me. It’s a fairly easy DIY project that I’m positive you will love! Check out my Conversation Heart Blocks!
Want to make your own cute Conversation Heart Blocks? Here’s what you need:
- three 4 inch tall 2×4’s, sanded
- craft paint (white, red, pink, blue)
- sponge brushes
- vinyl heart stencils
- white paint pen
Paint all 3 blocks with 2 coats of white paint. After they are dry, apply the vinyl heart stencils and smooth down the edges to prevent paint bleeding through. Paint the inside of the hearts…one red, one pink, and one blue. Carefully peal off the vinyl stencils before the paint dries. I made my stencils using my Silhouette cutting machine. You can easily cut the hearts by hand if you don’t have a vinyl cutting machine on hand. Once the hearts are dry, use the paint pen to write something you might find on a Conversation Heart Candy. I wrote “Call Me,” “True Love,” and “Be Mine” on my three blocks.
Aren’t they cute?! I just love how they turned out. You could even paint the hearts with chalkboard paint and use chalk to switch up the messages on the hearts! They would make such cute gifts for friends, neighbors, and teachers too.
Here’s a peek at my entry way table…
I hope you had a lovely Valentine’s Day!!
