Hi friends and Happy Hump Day! I hope your week is going well so far…it seems to be flying by for me.
A couple of weeks ago I shared My Craft Room Reveal with you, and in case you are wondering- yes, it’s still my favorite room in the house. And if you remember, I still needed to paint my desk chair but was having a hard time deciding exactly what to do. Well, I finally decided how to paint my chair… Here’s my Two Tone Chair Makeover.
Do you love it? I used Annie Sloan Chalk Paint® on the chair… Old White and Province. I really love the two tone look.
Here’s a BEFORE photo so that you can get a better idea of what I was working with. This is the chair I did all of my junior high, high school, and college homework in. I’ve had this chair since I was in 2nd grade!! This will be the 2nd time I’ve painted it and by far the easiest.
As I mentioned in My Craft Room Reveal post, Annie Sloan Chalk Paint® is so easy to use and you have minimal prep time. I painted my chair with two coats of Chalk Paint® and then I applied the Soft Wax with my special Annie Sloan Wax Brush, the very same technique I used on my desk.
I love that the brown peeks through the Old White and the Province. Gives it a pretty, shabby appeal.
I added a strip of vintage floral fabric and tied it into a bow… everything is prettier with a bow on it. Am I right?
And now, I am happily sitting in my pretty Two Tone Chair typing up this post. I’m so happy to be utilizing this space! Thanks for stopping by my friends! I will see you in a couple of days for Pinterest Feature Friday!
