I don’t know about you, but I start my Christmas shopping in September-October every year. I am able to space out my purchases, it gives me time to price check and research products, and I am able to finish up my shopping early so that I can enjoy all of the festivities that are involved with Christmas. So today I am going to share Five of the Best Toys for Kids ages 6-10 (ages are merely a suggestion) that you can find at my favorite store, Target!
All of the toys listed below require hands-on play that children are actively engaged in. Building and creating with their own two hands. Those are the kind of toys that a mom can get behind! Plus, you can buy all of these suggested toys at the new Target Toy Emporium (available online). Here are my picks for Five of the Best Toys for Kids…
- Magna Tiles
- Alex Toys
- Creativity for Kids
In the age of electronic toys and apps, it’s important that we encourage some good ol’ fashion PLAY with our kids! Each of these toys requires building or creating of some kind. All of which engages and stimulates the mind. The teacher in me yells ‘YIPEE!’ for the educational aspect of these toys!
Each of the toys listed above caters to boys and girls alike. For example, LEGO has come out with FRIENDS LEGOs and Disney Princess LEGOs in order to appeal to more girls. I love that the directions are super easy to follow and extremely kid-friendly using numbers, arrows, and pictures. It’s so satisfying to start with a pile of pieces and end up with a fun toy that YOU built with your own hands!
Go check out Target’s Toy Emporium (available online) to get a better understanding of the awesome themes available! Build, create, explore, imagine, discover, and move… #TargetToys offers something for every kiddo! Start your Christmas shopping from the comfort of your own home and feel good about the toys you are purchasing this year!
We have a new addiction in our house. I’ll give you a hint…it’s a four letter word. That’s right. LEGOs are at the TOP of this girl’s Christmas list. Kid and mom approved…it’s a win-win.
