Hello and Happy Monday friends! I hope you all had a very Happy Easter! We spent the day at home egg hunting, watching General Conference (church service), eating candy and yummy foods, playing with Easter basket goodies, and spending time together as a family. I was also able to squeeze in some computer time so that I can finally share my daughter’s birthday shirt this year. Check out this DIY Cinderella Tee that I made!
This project was inspired by Disney’s new Cinderella movie. I love the message in the movie to “Have courage and be kind” and we all know that Cinderella’s slipper plays a big role in the fairy tale. So I knew I wanted to include both of those things in the design.
Making the shirt was super easy using my Silhouette Cameo. I design the cut file (download HERE if you want to make this shirt too!) and cut it out on silver glitter heat vinyl. After weeding the vinyl design, I ironed them onto white t-shirts purchased for $5 each at Target. I made two so that L and her bestie could wear them to the movies together. You can get a more detailed tutorial HERE.
We all loved the movie a ton. And the girls got lots of compliments on their custom tees, which they thought was pretty cool.
After the movie, we came home for pizza and darling, homemade cookie-topped Cinderella cupcakes (made by Pink Chimney), and sleepover fun. All in all, a great 7th birthday celebration for my girl.
Do you kids wear a special outfit or shirt for their birthdays? It’s one of our traditions in our family! We look forward to the new birthday shirt each year.
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great week!
