This past weekend I had the honor of planning and hosting one of my childhood friend’s baby shower with another one of my dear friends. We had so much fun planning this shower… we literally could not wait to shower our sweet friend, Michelle, and her new baby princess. I’m really excited to show y’all the details… because it’s all about the details right? And we really wanted to get it just right. After lots of Pinterest inspiration, Amazon searching, and creative collaboration, we decided on a Feathers and Dreamcatchers Baby Brunch.

The decor for the shower had gold, pink, teal, yellow and white colors throughout. I made lots of cute paper feathers with my Spellbinders Platinum 6 and the feather die and added them throughout the decor. We used them on banners, chalkboard signs, toothpick toppers, etc.

I made a sign with a special quote on it for the baby’s room and had all of the guests sign a special message on the back.

We even had a dreamcatcher kit that each of the guests help make.

These dreamcatcher cards were found at Target and went just perfectly with the theme… I couldn’t resit them! Everyone wrote dreams and wishes for the baby on them and then added it to the twine to make a cute garland.

We also made mini Dream Chaser signs with dreamcatchers on them… one for each guest to take home.

The menu was full of all the things you would want for a yummy brunch. We had Michelle’s favorite donuts, a yogurt parfait bar, mini quiches, bacon, roasted asparagus and spinach salad, avocado shrimp ceviche, cheese danishes, and a mom-osa (mimosa) bar. We drank out of mason jars with cute paper straws and garnished our mom-osas with fruit. Everything was delicious!

After we ate and chatted, Michelle opened gifts and let me just say, this was my favorite part of the morning. She is just the cutest and has the best reactions opening gifts! It really makes the gift giving so much more fun!

We are so excited to welcome this new little girlfriend to our tribe. To be surrounded by women who build you up, encourage you, love you even on your ugly days… that’s a real treasure. And we sure are lucky so celebrate life’s beautiful moments together.
