Father’s Day Ideas

What makes a Dad

God took the strength of a mountain, The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun, The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature, The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages, The power of the eagle’s flight,
The joy of a morning in spring, The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity, The depth of a family need,
Then God combined these qualities, When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,
And so, He called it … Dad

What’s in your basket?

I recently asked my facebook friends this question…
What kinds of things do you put in your kids’ Easter baskets?
Here are some of the ideas we came up with…
candy
chocolate bunny
books
music
small toys
bubbles
colored pencils/markers/crayons
coloring books/sticker books
stickers
plastic jewelry
stamps
stuffed animal
movie
sand toys
bathing suite for summer
hair accessories
Easter outfit
shoes
chalk
giftcards
movie tickets
money
religious items (books, music, etc.)

The items in pink are some of the items I tend to lean towards. Luci still carries around her bunny from 2 Easters ago. He is irreplaceable in her eyes, so I don’t bother buying her stuffed animals for Easter anymore.
Luci + Bunny = BFFs
What do you put in your kids’ Easter baskets, bloggy friends? Leave your ideas in the comments : )
This is Luci’s basket this year….

Embellished with spring ribbon and flowers. All her little goodies nestled in pink shredded paper.
Most of these Easter treats were purchased at Target’s dollar spot and Dollar Tree.
We will be dying eggs today for the first time and hunting for eggs tomorrow. Luci is very excited for the Easter bunny to visit her…not sure she realizes she won’t actually get to visit with a bunny…
We also went to the Easter pageant the other night. It was beautiful.
Here are a few other pictures of Easter baskets that I thought were creative and unique…
Aren’t they fun?!
Well, I’m off to dye eggs with my girl! Have a wonderful day and an even better Easter!

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. ” John 3:16

Happy Easter from our family to yours ♥
