Hello my friends and welcome to Teach Me Tuesday, where I share all things kid-friendly!
Today I am sharing the Painted Rock Valentines + Printable Tags my daughter and I made! I love that this is a candy-free valentine idea and that it’s pretty much FREE. My 5 (almost 6) year old is into rock collecting AND she loves all things arts & crafts, so we combined the two. Then I made up some cute tags to go along with them.
We used rocks from our front yard and paint we already had on hand to decorate them. We used craft paint, paint brushes, and paint pens and then I sealed them with a coat of clear spray paint.
We had lots of fun rock painting… I think your kids would like it too! Then I printed out the cute tags on white card stock and cut them out. I can either tie them to the rocks with a bit of baker’s twine OR I can tape them on with some cute washi tape…or maybe even a dab of hot glue on the bottom of the rock to stick to the tag.
There are two different sayings on the tags- “Valentine you ROCK” and “Valentine you’re the ROCK to my ROLL.” Cute right? You can get them HERE. Please remember all MFTM printables are free to MFTM readers for personal use only.
I think these Rock Valentines are PERFECT for boys and girls. You could even add googley eyes and make faces on them! And let’s be honest…I was about to clear a bit of my daughter’s rock collection out of the house (it’s growing daily), which is a relief! *wink*
