Hello friends! Are you ready for Thanksgiving?! Today Siri, our Home Decor contributor, is back sharing her beautiful Bold Striped Closet Doors in her newly remodeled office! I have never thought to use closet door as the ‘accent wall’ of the room, but it looks so great! Check it out…
Hi again everyone!
It’s Siri from Of Pumpkin Thieves and Buffalo Wings and I’m back to share another little home decor tip for this month!
As this time of year comes around, I find myself trying to organize, clean, and purge so that when the holidays do arrive, my home is in good shape. Then it’s always easier for me to worry about other things and enjoy family time.
One thing that I finished up recently, was redecorating my office area. I wanted the room to be white so that it still had a crisp, simple look, but I also wanted a little color on the walls somehow.
Here’s what it looked like before.
After planning and painting the walls white, I decided on painting some navy stripes on the closet doors. What a difference it made!
The room is still simplistically white, but those sliding doors now give the room a lovely pop of color! If you are wanting a fresh look in a room of your house, try doing something colorful with just one part, like the closet doors!
Details can make the biggest difference!
Also, if you look closely, you can see that I’ve used two projects that I’ve shared on here before. I used an Instagram frame that I made from this post and I made a DIY outlet cover which I shared how to make in this post. I love putting my ideas into practice in different rooms and with different looks.
Hope you’re inspired to finally add a little pop of color to a room that you’ve been wanting to change up. I love making the little details in my home all my own. To see more photos of my office area and Svea’s playroom reveal, check out this post on my blog.
Thanks for having me Kara!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
