Free Christmas Gift List Printables

Hello! It’s Bev here for our Must Have Craft Tips post – and we’re working on organization this month! One of the areas I really need to work on in December is gift tracking. I have the hardest time remembering what I’ve given from one year to the next!

If you’re in the same boat – I have some great tips this week for organizing and keeping track of gifts!

1 – Organize who you are buying for. It’s tough to shop and find the right thing if you don’t go in with a list of recipients. It’s so easy to get caught up in the fun of buying, and forget to get something for everyone on your list! Don’t forget to mark off when they are wrapped too!

2 – Make it easy to take your list with you! Finding cute gift lists to fit in your planner is a great way to keep track of what you’ve bought so you don’t repeat gifts, or overbuy either! It’s also a great way to make sure you don’t lose the list! :)

3 – Don’t forget stocking stuffers! (something I always leave until the last minute!) If you’ve got a handy printable you can check items off as your out shopping and get it finished early.

4 – Stay on budget! Keeping track of what you’re buying lets you know when you’ve reached the budget for each person.

5 – Don’t lose those online orders. With all the online shopping we do, it’s sometimes tricky to keep track of what we’ve ordered, and from where! This handy printable gives you a place to keep track of what you’ve ordered and when it’s arriving!

6 – Don’t forget about Handmade Gifts! These cute printables keep gift ideas handy and give you a spot for listing supplies you need too!

7 – Find just the right gift! If you’re not sure what to buy, this cute little Gift Wish list is a great way to get ideas! I love that it’s more than just a list of things they want, it’s a great way to get to know their likes and activities, so you can really get creative!

My kids had a blast filling these out and I got lots of great ideas! To download the PDF go to http://rbstoutfamily.blogspot.com/2013/11/christmas-wish-list-and-kids-letter-to.html Enjoy!:

Our family recently sold our home, down sized, and we are now RV living while we buy land and build our next home. Usually I’m finished back in October, but life got super busy this year. Do you know the feeling? Painted Pencil Name Sign

It’s time to show those teachers how much we appreciate them! Can you believe the end of the school year is already upon us? Some of you might be like “wait… but you’re a homeschooler!” Yes, but we also have Art, Music, Theater, Cooking Class, and Soccer. Lots of teachers and coaches to show our appreciation to! Today I am sharing a simple DIY project that your child can help with. This handmade Painted Pencil Name Sign is sure to make that special teacher smile!

painted pencil7

I used an 18 inch fence slat and cut one end into a point with my saw. Then I sanded the piece of wood until it was smooth.

painted pencil5

Next I set up a paint pallet for my daughter complete with her art apron and plenty of paint brushes. I let her paint the entire pencil, and I went back after to touch up spots and straighten a few lines.

painted pencil2

Once the paint dried, I gave my daughter a black Sharpie and she wrote her Art Teacher’s name in the center(ish) of the sign. I love little kids’ handwriting and I think it gives this gift such a special touch.

painted pencil4

After, we flipped the sign over and stamped it with my awesome Laura Kelly self-inking stamp from Expressionery. LOVE it and I use it on all my signs now.

painted pencil6

painted pencil8

Last, we pulled out our Me and My Peeps Laura Kelly notepad from Expressionery and my daughter wrote a thank you note to her teacher to attach to the pencil sign with baker’s twine. Isn’t it the cutest notepad?! I personalized it to match our family. Love.

painted pencil3

Right now you can get 30% off sitewide at Expressionery using the coupon code TEACHERAPP at checkout (valid 4/25/15-5/25/15).

You can also enter to win a self-inking stamp and set of small notepads from Expressionery! How fun is that?! Good luck friends and let me know if you make a Painted Pencil Name Sign for your awesome teachers this year!

If I were to pick a treat, the perfect one would be a combination of salty and sweet. But I’m also not a girl who will turn down a dessert. My husband, on the other hand, does NOT have a sweet tooth. But, if he were to ever ever ever pick a sweet treat, it would be SNICKERS® hands down. So today I am going to share a gift idea I came up with for my husband… the man that works so hard for our family. Check out this silly Shadow Box of Chocolates!

shadow box of chocolates5

How cute is that?! A little something to bring a smile to my guy’s face. And I just love the vinyl saying… makes me giggle!!

Here’s what you’ll need to make your own:

  • Shadow box
  • vinyl stencil (I made mine on my Silhouette Cameo)
  • transfer paper/tape
  • SNICKERS® Extreme, Peanut Butter Squares, and SNICKERS® Almond

I stopped by Circle K to grab the SNICKERS® and my local craft store for the other supplies.

This project is a fairly simple one. First, you want to open up your shadow box and remove the back.

shadow box of chocolates1

Use the velcro the came with your shadow box and cut it into 3 pieces. Apply the velcro to the backs of the  all 3 SNICKERS®.

shadow box of chocolates2

Arrange your SNICKERS® onto the back of the shadow box like so…

shadow box of chocolates3

Next, wipe the glass front of the shadow box to free it of dirt or dust.

shadow box of chocolates4

Using your Silhouette, cut the stencil out of vinyl. You can download my 4×6 stencil HERE. Weed your stencil and add the transfer paper/tape to it. Remove the back and apply the vinyl stencil onto the glass. Slowly and carefully remove the transfer paper. Put the shadow box back together…

shadow box of chocolates6

And you are ready to give this silly gift to someone you love…someone you want to bring a smile to!

shadow box of chocolates7

It’s safe to say that he liked it…

shadow box of chocolates8

And he didn’t waste anytime at all with those SNICKERS®, LOL! Love this guy. This would also make a great birthday gift or Father’s Day gift!

Head on over to your nearest Circle K and grab you some yummy SNICKERS® so you can make this gift idea too!

Food-a-licious Friday: Brownies in a Jar

Hello there and Happy Friday! Are you ready for Christmas? I have a few more presents to wrap and I am done with gifts. I still have plenty of baking to do, so I am so glad Erin, our recipe contributor, is here to share a yummy holiday treat with us today! It also make the PERFECT gift to give during this holiday season. Check out this recipe for Brownies in a Jar.

Christmas is quickly approaching! I know I am far from ready. I have been making these Brownies in a Jar as Christmas gifts for the better part of 15 years. They are perfect for coworkers, neighbors, and friends. This way they can enjoy them after the holidays are over and the plethora of Christmas cookies have gone away. This brownie recipe is the best I have ever had. I have a weakness for brownies and make a couple batches this time of year. Mostly to make my house smell heavenly.

INGREDIENTS

1 cup flour

 ½ tsp salt

12 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa, divided

1 ½ cups granulated sugar, divided

½ cup packed brown sugar

½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

brownies in a jar3

DIRECTIONS

1. Mix flour and salt. Spoon mixture into a 1 quart mason jar.

2. Add the following, tapping jar to settle ingredients: 6 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa, ¾ cup granulated sugar, brown sugar, ¾ cup more granulated sugar, then 6 tablespoons more cocoa.

3. Top with chocolate chips. Close lid.

4. Tie baking instructions tag to jar.

If you are going to make these for yourself, you will need ½ cup melted butter, 3 eggs, and ½ teaspoon of vanilla. Put all of the ingredients that were to go into the jar into a bowl. Stir in the butter, eggs, and vanilla. Follow the baking instructions below.

brownies in a jar2
To bake (this is what needs to go on the tag) : Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 9 inch square pan. Whisk brownie mix in a bowl. Stir in ½ cup melted butter, 3 eggs, beaten, and ½ teaspoon vanilla. Spread into pan. Bake until toothpick inserted in center has a few crumbs, about 35 minutes. Cool. Makes 12.

I just love how the ingredients look layered in the mason jar. Be sure to include a tag with the baking instructions if you will be giving as a gift. I just LOVE handwritten recipe cards. You can use these cute, free Snowman recipe card print outs I found to attach to the jar too! This would make the perfect gift for teachers, coaches, co-workers, neighbors, grandparents, etc!

I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Mommy Tell All Monday: At Home Pedicure Gift Basket

This shop has been compensated by #CollectiveBias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone.

Hello friends and welcome to Mommy Tell All Monday… an almost weekly series dedicated to all things motherhood! And today I’m sharing a fun gift that is perfect to give your momma friends. It’s an easy gift to put together and I guarantee they will love it. Check out how I put together this At Home Pedicure Gift Basket, featuring Amopé Pedi Perfect and Amopé Foot Cream.

Pedi Gift Basket5

As busy mommas, it’s so difficult for us to get away for a relaxing pedicure. I remember the days when I’d get a pedicure every couple of weeks… so spoiled I was and I didn’t even know it! Now I’m lucky enough to get a fresh coat of polish on my toes before hurrying out the door to church. Setting aside 20-30 minutes to myself each week to give myself a pedi after the kids go to bed…that more manageable for me, and probably for my other mom friends too. So I decided to create a gift basket for a momma friend who deserves a little extra TLC.

For this At Home Pedicure Gift Basket, I purchased all of my supplies at Target. I picked up the basket, cotton balls, nail polish,Amopé Pedi Perfect and Amopé Foot Cream for the gift. I even used the Cartwheel offer (11/2-11/22) and got 10% off of the Amopé Pedi Perfect! Love that app!

Pedi Gift Basket1

First I emptied the cotton balls into the basket…

Pedi Gift Basket3

Then I placed all of the pedi supplies in the basket, wedged into the cotton balls. I chose the new Amopé Pedi Perfect and Amopé Foot Cream products for this basket because when paired, they add moisture for even softer, healthier feet.

Pedi Gift Basket4

I added scraps of vintage fabric to the handles and created a cute tag to attach with a piece of twine.

You can print off the “I’m Pedi Thankful For You” tags HERE. There are 4 cute options. Please remember all printable freebies are for personal use only.

Pedi Gift Basket7

Now that my basket is all put together, it’s ready to bless one of my mommy friends.

When you head to Target to pick up your own Amopé Pedi Perfect and Amopé Foot Cream products, be sure to do a few things…

-use the Cartwheel deal to get 10% off from 11/2-11/22

-get a $5 Target gift card when you purchase one Pedi Perfect from 11/9-11/22

-shop for these products on the foot care aisle, not the beauty care aisles.

  Pedi Gift Basket6

Can you think of one momma friend who you are {pedi} thankful for? Why not bless her with an At Home Pedicure Gift Basket?!  I know my feet could use a little extra TLC… let’s #RespectUrFeet with Amopé Pedi Perfect and Amopé Foot Cream.

Thanks for stopping by today friends. I hope you have a great week!

Father’s Day Mason Jar Gift Idea

Hi there friends!

I have a quick and fun Father’s Day Mason Jar Gift Idea that you and the kids can whip up in no time! Since Father’s Day is just around the corner, this is the perfect gift for the man of the house.

Father's Day Mason Jar1

Mason jars make everything cuter, am I right? We just added a bow tie around the lid, hot glued on a few buttons, attached the cute tag, filled the jar with almonds and BAM! Father’s Day Mason Gift Jar Gift Idea.

Father's Day Mason Jar3

I made these cute printable tags to attach to the jars. I even made some for grandpa! You can download the tags HERE. Please remember all free printables are for Mine for the Making reading personal use.

Father's Day Mason Jar2

I found the bow tie in Target’s dollar spot. It’s actually a kid’s bow tie but you could easily use a man’s bow tie so that you have two gifts in one!

Thanks for stopping by today! Let’s remember to celebrate those great fathers in our lives!

Teacher Appreciation Gift Idea

Hi friends! It’s been a whole week since I’ve posted on the blog-a-roo…it’s been super busy around here with spring boutique prep. I wanted to stop by and share what we gave our favorite teachers this year.

Although we are a homeschool family, my daughter does have other teachers besides myself. Her music, art, and Sunday School teachers all deserve to know how much we love and appreciate them. Here is my Teacher Appreciation Gift Idea for her special teachers…

Teacher Flowers3

Simple, yet beautiful! I bought small plastic pots from Walmart for under a dollar each and tied a piece of vintage fabric around them. Then I placed bright, happy flowers inside.

Teacher Flowers2

I made cute tags and hot glued them to cute paper straws. The straws slip right into the soil, making it a cute and convenient little sign.

Teacher Flowers4

You can print out the tags HERE. All printables are free for Mine for the Making readers. Please remember they are for personal use only.

Teacher Flowers1

This gift is a sweet one to give and it cost me under $5 to put together. My 6 year old was able to help plant the flower, stick the tag/paper straw into the soil, and tie the vintage fabric scrap around the pot. So it’s one the kids can get in on helping with too.

Let’s remember to show the teachers in our kids’ lives just how much we love them. Have a great weekend friends!
